Note:PMC acquires Italian flag. The Italian flag was acquired after a month of behavior in the PMC Discord server where people would respond to random messages with the Italian flag emoji. A member of the club, Ivy, was going to Italy for the ECSC capture-the-flag security competition with Team Canada. As a joke at the competition, teams would steal national flags from teams who left their flags unguarded, turning the cybersecurity capture-the-flag competition into a real life capture-the-flag. Team Canada stole the Finnish flag from Team Finland during their shenanigans. Team Canada asked Team Italy if they would like to trade their flag for one of the flags Team Canada stole. Team Italy agreed to a trade for the Finnish flag and the flag was brought to the PMC office following ECSC. |
